Happy Work Wear Monday! Here are some of my favorite work-wear looks appropriate for the changing spring weather.
When it comes to the first day at a new job, it’s important to put your best foot (and face!) forward. One of the easiest ways to settle those first-day jitters and make a stellar first impression is to find the perfect work-appropriate look.
Bonus tip – Stock up on mints – Chewing gum isn’t exactly the picture of professionalism.
Remember less is more. Keep it simple, radiant and refreshing and you will be feeling better than ever.
It is Monday and time for a work wear showcase on Samosa POP. Today’s office wear is more new and liberal. Remember you can always have fun adding the latest trends to your work outfit – just keep the color palette uniform.
Samosa POP presents Work-wear Mondays
Going to work is the hardest on Mondays. After a relaxing weekend, sometimes it gets tough to roll out of bed when all you want to do is kill the alarm clock and snuggle under the sheets. When you finally do get out of the bed, with barely anytime left to get dolled up, it seems to be one of the toughest tasks to decide what to wear. So here is my attempt to tackle this challenge and help start your Monday fashionably. I prefer my work looks simple and classic. But, trends are not just for off-hours. You can easily sneak in some current trends into your work outfit. To avoid an unhappy call from HR, keep the focus on one trend at a time and the look minimalistic.
This outfit showcases one of the top trends of spring 2013 : Black and White in an office friendly version.
Blush is big this season. I love the versatility of this shade. The soft hue makes a polished work-wear look. This beautiful rose quartz necklace is a fabulous find and is elegant enough to wear to work as well as be a part of your evening look.
Red is a very popular color this season and this red dress stands out in a sea of little black dresses. Whereas, the red clutch conveniently adds to the drama.
Pairing this runway inspired look with these lace-up beauties gives this polished fall outfit an extra edge.
Happy Monday! Wasn’t the weekend too short as always?!! Thankfully some outfits work equally well from weekend to weekday. This dark light-weight jersey romper perfectly executes that attitude. The truth is I love this comfortable romper. Whether you’re tall, petite or curvy, it works well with all body types. I absolutely love the cuffs at the bottom, and even better I can think of a million different ways to wear it. It makes a great date outfit paired with heels plus a bold lipstick. Or add a structured jacket to make it work friendly. Summer-time does mean fun and light work-wear, right?! I think the next way I wear it will be with a denim shirt tied around my waist and chunky boots. Continue reading
Work wear look for the summer days. You can never go wrong with black.
In winter months, your coat is a major part of your outfit. I like to include colorful outerwear in my daily looks for wintery days as it adds pops of color to cheer up the bitter chilly weather. Red, white & blue is one of my favorite classic combinations. It is fail-proof and flattering on all skin tones.
Houndstooth is the new black. I love this vintage skirt for fall when paired with the trendy wine colored sweater. The look also transitions easily from 9-5 to happy hour.
