This season I am leaning towards simple and easy styles. I love dressing up but, most days you can find me in a no-fuss simple colorful sundress. It is always wise to keep a comfy cover up with you. I rely on this sweater way more than I planned to when I was buying it. My go-to summer sweater. Today is one of those rare days where it rains and shines at the exact same time. It’s killer on a good hair day but sans the hair issue, it’s really quite nice. Warm sunshine, cool rain. It could be a lot worse — I mean it could be super windy. I’ll take misty rain over wild wind any day of the week. I love prints. The funkier the better. This casette print skirt totally makes my day. I want to make it my uniform for this summer. It is so cute. It makes me want to dance all the time. Plus the flare on this skirt adds to it’s playfulness. I plan to spend this weekend with the husband by the lake and I have a feeling this skirt will put a musical spell on him. 🙂 Continue reading
Peplums started making a comeback in 2009 (from it’s debut in the late forties and fifties). But, the revival of the trend has been apparent on the streets since September of 2011. And it’s popularity is increasing by the day. It is one of last year’s most celebrated trend. Labeled to be the most flattering trend in ages, this retro style is staying this year to give us a polished and curve complementing look. I like to channel all-out girlie style with a full skirt and a peplum blouse.
