Tropical Vacation

I love summer. It means trips to all my favorite street fairs and theme parks. This romper was one of those random finds at Forever 21. I saw this adorable print and I knew I had to pick it up. I just thought how perfect for summer. ‘Island chic’ is my current love in the summer trends.

Date night outfit

DSC03952  Date nights are usually pretty casual for my husband and me, but since the nights have become warmer, I have been reaching for my heels. It’s a funny little thing, how a pair of shoes can instantly lift your mood (and height!). We ventured out for some Greek food the other night, and topped it off with delicious orange italian ice for dessert. I am so grateful for warm, summer evenings, they are quite possibly one of my favorite things. Continue reading

Festival Fashion : Lollapalooza

There’s a few good reasons why I am obsessed with Lollapalooza. A weekend of INCREDIBLE music, friends, and Chicago Summer lovin’. Firstly, outdoor music festivals are my FAVE! I’ve been to quite some concerts in my lifetime, but there’s something so amazing about being on the grass and jamming out. Remember Coachella?

Next up, it’s located in Chicago (hello home). Since I live in the Greater Chicago it makes it extra cool and extra comfortable to attend the weekend of awesome fun. Lollapalooza is held in the beautiful Grant Park. It is one of the most beautiful venues to watch a concert, being surrounded by the amazing architecture of the city while listening to great bands. A Pant story

My summers are filled with fairs and festivals. The ambiance is filled with art, music and happy people. My kind of scene. Plus, can’t forget all the delicious treats the food festivals have to offer. I love to dress for the occasion and when I think festival I think prints. These pants are  perfect. The intrinsic tribal print is my favorite. It is artsy and flattering. I wore this outfit at a recent art fair in my city. I am looking forward to wearing these pants on a casual work day while the summer days are still on. I would pair it with a white/chambray blazer inspired by this look.DSC04128 Continue reading
