Houndstooth is the new black. I love this vintage skirt for fall when paired with the trendy wine colored sweater. The look also transitions easily from 9-5 to happy hour.
This super cute owl tee is my go-to spring tee. I paired it with these comfy crop jeans and an azalea blazer to add the pop of color that brightens up this grey outfit. Top the look with a fedora and you don’t have to worry about crazy hair days. Continue reading
In the last few weeks of summer, it is likely to get excited about the new and upcoming fall fashion that is already so prevalent in all the stores. But, when the temperatures are still soaring high it is hard to incorporate fall weather friendly items into your outfit. My solution is to add fall accents. Layering a printed scarf on this cotton tee paired with a deep wine-colored maxi skirt makes you look fall ready while keeping you comfortable in the final days of summer. This maxi skirt is cool and breezy enough for a warm afternoon even in it’s warm jewel tone.
Thank-you for stopping by! XO!
Happy Casual Friday! Wear your favorite summer maxi dress to Lollapalooza this weekend. Even though it’s summer time, the evenings tend to get chilly now a days or the weather suddenly cools down leaving you yearning for something cozy. A convenient way to transition your favorite maxi dress is by pairing it with a chambray shirt. It acts as a required cover up for the unpredictable weather.
The best part of summer nights, for me at least, is the ease of getting dressed when going out. Husband and I went to a casual dinner & a movie date recently and I wanted to be comfortable but still cute. Drapey maxi-dress that feels like pajamas? Done. I probably could have added more jewelry to jazz it up a bit but when could I not add more jewelry right? It’s a delicate and constant balance between comfortable and fancy. Continue reading
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are staying cozy warm. I am still trying to get over this cold weather in the Chicago area. Just can’t get myself to love it anymore. I have loved the snow days, enjoyed being a snow angel and drooled over some trendy winter style inspirations. Now I am ready for colorful spring dresses kinda weather. I couldn’t stop myself when I saw this beautiful dress in the striking blue shade from Dress Lily. I wore it this past weekend at a friend’s baby shower and felt a little bit of spring in my step. This fit and flare dress makes a fun outfit for any get-together. I am a fan of the flattering color-block in the black & white. The dress fits true to size and is comfortable whether you are dancing or sneaking that extra slice of cake (shh!) :). The fabric and color turned out to be different than the website picture. The color is brighter and the fabric is lighter than expected. But, it is a playful and affordable spring dress. The only drawback was that it took forever for me to receive it (over a month). Their shipping services can surely use a speed boost. Continue reading
The temperatures are dropping which means it is boots season. A flat boot is versatile and chic. A girl’s got to have something to dance and jump around in the beautiful fallen leaves. I am very excited for this time of the year as the weather gets cooler and our closets welcome the fall jackets and boots.
Structured jackets are hot this season. The trick is to pay attention to details such as the stand-up contrast collar and the button detail on this jacket. Designers everywhere are all about fitted silhouettes that modernize old-school fabrics and styles such as tweed and military. Continue reading
This fall season don’t be afraid to integrate bright colors in your wardrobe. They are not reserved for summer and spring alone. A bold pop of color can cheer up any outfit. Pair it with neutrals such as grays to give it an autumn feel.
