In winter months, your coat is a major part of your outfit. I like to include colorful outerwear in my daily looks for wintery days as it adds pops of color to cheer up the bitter chilly weather. Red, white & blue is one of my favorite classic combinations. It is fail-proof and flattering on all skin tones.
I am ready for Spring (if you can’t tell by my outfit)! Winter was fun, but the warmer weather we had over the weekend has spoiled me and I am daydreaming of the colorful spring ahead. This coat in bright limoncello color is a fun addition to any neutral outfit. I am also a huge advocate of metallic details. It adds instant glam to any look. Continue reading
Ever met a piece of clothing that is perfect for right now!? If I had to pick an item out of my closet to symbolize September – with it’s beauty and it’s late-summer weather, it would be this midi skirt.
Talk about love at first twirl!!! The soft baby blue color paired with a peak-a-boo panel is a skirt dream come true. I am head over heels in love with the midi trend (exhibit A and exhibit B). This lady-like trendy skirt is easily going to be my most frequented transition piece with the current changing seasons. Anytime I can find a piece of clothing that is as comfortable as it is stylish, I am immediately sold.
Date nights are usually pretty casual for my husband and me, but since the nights have become warmer, I have been reaching for my heels. It’s a funny little thing, how a pair of shoes can instantly lift your mood (and height!). We ventured out for some Greek food the other night, and topped it off with delicious orange italian ice for dessert. I am so grateful for warm, summer evenings, they are quite possibly one of my favorite things. Continue reading
Spring has sprung. These days I am more gravitated towards lightweight printed silk pants and breezy pastel tops. It is becoming my ‘Spring Uniform‘. These beautiful printed pants from Nordstrom are perfect for spring and summer. Silk printed pants make a fun work outfit for the springtime. Pair them with a top in the same color palette for a more polished look. Keeping the accessories minimal is another great way to create a look that is worthy for a day at the office. Continue reading
Fall is a beautiful season. There is something almost poetic about the falling leaves and the crisp air along with that perfect slice of pumpkin pie in your hand. Yum! I could say it is my favorite season, but then I would be lying. I love them all. There is just something special about them all. My favorite part is noticing the different colors, all these seasons offer. And the seasonal festivities they all bring along. This week my husband and I made an impromptu trip to a local pumpkin patch and bought us some bright pumpkins (couldn’t wait till the coming saturday :)). I am super excited to dive into all the fall-fun this weekend. As you might already know, I have what some might call a deep love fair with ‘red’ (casual red, dressy red, red skirt and red pants) :). I am always finding excuses to wear this darling red dress. It is one of those items in my closet that act as an instant pick-me-up. Know what I mean? You might have a few favorites of your own. The ones you never have to think twice before putting them on. But, with the dropping temperatures, the flowy chiffon dress needed a little something extra. So I decided to work some Samosa POP magic and wear it with a pretty lace sweatshirt and VIOLA my summer dress turned into a fall skirt. 🙂 As simple as that. Go on try it for yourself and create a fun and flirty fall look, perfect for those seasonal dates.
When it comes to work wear I love an outfit that breaks the norms without alerting the HR. This year has been all about the prints and pants are no exception. Personally I can’t get enough of it. I love bold prints, small prints and all prints. I also love a look that can take me from day to night, and pieces that are versatile are budget and closet friendly. This blouse is conservative yet also beautiful in lilac. With a white blazer it looks clean against a pair of tailored printed pants, as well as office appropriate. This statement necklace is not over-bearing which goes perfect with a work-friendly high neckline.
By adding just a few trend pieces such as these patterned pants, to your work wardrobe, you can look summer fabulous and professional without blowing the whole paycheck. After work, I would add a clutch, adding the perfect amount of sparkle for cocktails.
The subtle Geo print on these pants make them perfect for an office setting. Last seen here.
