Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are staying cozy warm. I am still trying to get over this cold weather in the Chicago area. Just can’t get myself to love it anymore. I have loved the snow days, enjoyed being a snow angel and drooled over some trendy winter style inspirations. Now I am ready for colorful spring dresses kinda weather. I couldn’t stop myself when I saw this beautiful dress in the striking blue shade from Dress Lily. I wore it this past weekend at a friend’s baby shower and felt a little bit of spring in my step. This fit and flare dress makes a fun outfit for any get-together. I am a fan of the flattering color-block in the black & white. The dress fits true to size and is comfortable whether you are dancing or sneaking that extra slice of cake (shh!) :). The fabric and color turned out to be different than the website picture. The color is brighter and the fabric is lighter than expected. But, it is a playful and affordable spring dress. The only drawback was that it took forever for me to receive it (over a month). Their shipping services can surely use a speed boost. Continue reading
If anyone could design killer shoes, it would be the infamous Carrie Bradshaw. The lady always knew her shoes. It was her most beautiful love affair. Sarah Jessica Parker knows our gal Carrie very well and has decided to share her shoe talents. I am so excited about the news of her shoe collection launching at Nordstrom on February 28. Can’t wait!

It is so hard to not want them all but, versatile day-to-night ‘the carrie’ seems too cute to pass up.
Some stylish memories of Carrie
My favorite summer time jeans come in a distressed wash and a slouchy-straight fit. These jeans perfectly complement a feminine and quintessentially summer white embroidered top.
Jeans: Young and Faded via Nordstrom, Top: Solitaire via Marshalls (similare here), Necklace: Francesca’s, Bag: Mossimo, Shoes: Sam Edelman (old, similar here), Lip color: Chanel, Bracelet: BCBG (similar here)
Summer is as much about casual barbecues and beach days as it is about outdoor weddings and parties. Let’s talk about how to style a summery outfit to match your event’s glitz and ritz. The trick is in the accessories. I love this breezy look for a daytime affair.
Keeping the accessories in the same color family brings structure to this light-weight floral dress, making it more suitable for the summer-formal event.
