Cold

Cold weather x SPBrr! I am feeling extra cold today. In my defense, the weather in the Chicagoland area is having it’s big winter moment this week. Even after all these years, the first super cold winter week always surprises me. I am all bundled up on this chilly Tuesday. Surviving ChiBeria weather by adding layers to my outfit. Winter Layers

 Winter Layers - Samosa POPWearing layers is the secret to surviving the mid-west weather. I usually opt for 3 and then top the look with an over coat. It is always a good idea to start with a soft and thin full-sleeve fitted t-shirt to keep you comfortable througout the day. I love the pairing of simple denim shirt under my sweaters to make the outfit look more put-together. Plus adds that extra layer of toasty comfort. Sweaters is the play area. I like to go for prints and patterns here. It is usually the star of the outfit and will be seen the most throughout the day. As you might know by now, I am huge fan of pops of color with my basic look and bright-colored outerwear does the trick. (More examples here and here) Continue reading
