Thanksgiving is just around the corner. A printed jersey dress is perfect for the family holiday this fall season. I anticipate it to be comfortable and cute when my mom insists I have an extra slice of that awesome pie. Here I am styling two looks that can work for a casual get together or a dressy dinner party. These looks can easily be worn day to night. I am excited to sport the casual look with the flared converted-skirt in the day. It will be a fun time watching the Thanksgiving parade with the family. And then quickly dress it up for the holiday dinner party in the evening. I hope these looks put a spring in your step in this chilly weather and get you excited for the holiday indulgence coming up next week.
Ever since I set eyes on this beautiful gold watch from Timex, I knew it will be my go-to ‘it’ accessory this holiday season. This watch adds just the right amount of bling to any outfit. I love the rich gold color and the attention to detail in the design. I was surprised to discover that it is not very heavy and sits comfortably on my wrist.
Thank-you for stopping by!
This Holiday season, say Yes to comfy pants. In preparation for one of the most gluttonous evenings of the year, you have to choose your pants very carefully. Extra room is a must, adjustable waists are preferable, and finding a pair that looks the least like the sweatpants (you truly would like to be sporting) is high up on the list too. These silk pants strike the perfect balance of everything we need for the holiday. Continue reading
With the festive season in the air, ’tis the time to dress up. Here is a fun and festive look to inspire you and get you excited about the holidays.
It is pretty easy to guess that I love dresses and just need any or as many excuses to wear them. And I love them in all colors – Be it red, green or sparkles. This is one of my favorite dresses for December. A drop-waist dress is the ultimate fall/winter dress. I love how versatile it is. It is great for both casual and more dressed up occasions, and by tweaking the shoes and accessories, it can be styled to fit a range of personal styles. Go from glam to classic, preppy to edgy or keep it clean and minimal. So much to play with. Continue reading
With Christmas just around the corner, ’tis the season to be fancy. I love this combination for this holiday season. Continue reading
Merry Christmas Eve! I am spending it with some of my favorite people in the world – my family. We are having a big brunch party and then packing up for a family vacation. So much fun so little time. I hope you are all tangled up in love this festive season.
For my look today, I am sporting two of my favorite trends of 2013 – midi and animal prints. This skirt is one of top picks in my wardrobe. It is great that it works well in all seasons. Yes my toes were freezing in this look but that problem is usually solved by adding a pair of tights (check out how I wore it in summer here). Also, got myself a new haircut for the upcoming new year. The short length always makes me want to keep smiling and dancing – which is more of what I plan to do in 2014. Continue reading
Happy Monday! Red is a beautiful color and it can get tricky to not overdo it specially for crimson-lovers like me, around this time of the year. As an easy solution – I try to focus towards simple and classic styles in this bold hue to let the color shine. I teamed up with the stylish and talented Fiona from The Upmarket to come up with two different effortless looks that can take you from a date night to a small party to wherever the night takes you this holiday season. A candid look in an eye-catching tint can make for a very versatile outfit. It is the season to make a statement and let this flattering shade help you stand out this month. Be sure to head on over to The Upmarket for all her outfit details and for endless style inspiration! Continue reading
Who says sparkles are limited for fancy night-time looks?! I love sequins, shiny things and a little bit of bling in my everyday looks. ‘Tis the season to wear sequins.
Ever since these pants caught my eye at Nordstrom, I knew I had to have them. It was not enough to just save them for night outs and parties so I ventured into the daytime armed in my shiny sequin pants. The classic chambray shirt is my secret weapon which balances the sparkle of the look while still keeping it festive. I topped the look with a deep purple peacoat to add a pop of color to my outfit’s neutral tones of denim and gold (Yes gold is a neutral this time of the year).
Holiday season is not complete for me without a cute and bright holiday sweater. I love collecting them and wearing them every year at fun and casual family gatherings. Instant-holiday-cheer-maker!
