Floral Jacket

floral x SP 4

Please tell me you have those days where you need to be moving super fast to get things done and yet everything slows you down? That’s today. I got up early to get everything done and before I knew it it is now noon. I am not sure what happened in those 5 hours but productivity was apparently not it.floral x SP 3

I did get dressed though. So that’s a positive. This floral jacket is the perfect pick-me-up. And my hair decided to co-operate (ish) which I think we can all agree that I’d rather have a good hair day than a productive morning. This is why my house isn’t clean. Continue reading

Summer Dress – all dressed up

blue dress formal x SP When packing light is a preferred goal for a fun vacation make sure to pack a light summer dress that can be easily dressed up and down. Make a statement in this way-fun floral print. Yesterday, I talked about this dress for a casual look. To dress up the same silk dress, just lose that denim jacket, switch the flats to trendy heels and add a bright lip & some metallic accessories. As I mentioned yesterday, Vegas is one of favorite cities to vacation. And in that enchanting city, a simple summer dress like this keeps you prepared to add some instant glam to your look. And after a day of sightseeing you are ready for a fabulous dinner date at Bar Masa or a fun night of dancing at Haze nightclub with your girl friends. Continue reading

Summer Dress – Casual

blue dress casual x SP 2A simple silk dress in a fun print (aka floral for me) is a must this summer. It is easy, versatile and comfortable. This dress also transitions well from day to night and hence a necessary item in the summer vacation wardrobe. It can be dressed up with a clutch and heels or dressed down with a pair of casual sandals and a denim jacket. When on vacation I do not like to over pack and hence I try to stick to pieces that I can get the most wear out of.  One of my frequented vacation destination is Las Vegas. This dress would be perfect for a day in the sparkly city from lunch at the Aria Hotel or sight seeing around the strip. Continue reading

Summer : All dressed up

Summer is as much about casual barbecues and beach days as it is about outdoor weddings and parties. Let’s talk about how to style a summery outfit to match your event’s glitz and ritz. The trick is in the accessories. I love this breezy look for a daytime affair.

Keeping the accessories in the same color family brings structure to this light-weight floral dress, making it more suitable for the summer-formal event.DSC03658
