You can never go wrong with red. It’s an instant pick-me-up for outfits. You can try it on as a lip-color or go bold with a red dress. The red-hot look has been pretty hot on the runways this season. The color being versatile it works great for a daytime look just as well as for a polished night time outfit. Be bold and enjoy this vibrant color.
You have seen my love for prints lately. After talking about prints on skirts (here & here), let’s talk about pants. Printed pants are a very cute invention. They are versatile enough for both business and leisure. For a casual look, I pair mine with a simple tee and I am ready for a day of summer fun. I love printed pants. Pick up a pair with an elaborated print on a neutral color for versatility.

As the summer comes to an end this week, I am drawn towards wearing more and more white everyday. It only seems fitting with the beautiful warm weather we have this week. I am excited for the upcoming fall fashion but I am still not done with my summer clothes. Feels like we did not have too many hot days to enjoy those summer dresses. Maybe it’s just me trying to hold on to my favorite season a bit longer. Continue reading →
I love a good slip dress. It’s super versatile and so handy in this unpredictable weather. I found this casual number at H&M recently and have been wearing it so often. This is one of the looks from my weekends casually topped with a hat. I also love wearing this simple dress to work paired with a white blazer and some pumps. I highly recommend investing in a dress that’s all about comfort. It’s great to have an outfit that is chic and easy. It just works. Trust me you will be wearing it again and again. Shirt dresses are an amazing addition to your summer wardrobe. They can be a versatile part of any wardrobe. They’re perfect for wearing on a casual basis, but can also be suited to more formal occasions. I wore this outfit this past weekend while attending a local art fair with my family. This comfortable staple was found at Old Navy sale section (check your local stores). Continue reading →
Happy Summer my lovelies! Yesterday I celebrated the official first day of summer (thankfully it even felt like summer) by wearing my happy yellow skirt with a simple striped tee. This year I was lucky enough to get to spend father’s day with my father as they arrived from India just in time for daddy day. This outfit was very playful and the flared skirt was perfect for the day at the local fair. This yellow beauty is a recent gift from my mom. Needless to say she has amazing taste and I am sure I got my love for colors from her. Hope you had a happy weekend celebrating the awesome dads in your lives! Continue reading →
Samosa POP and Windy City Wardrobe bring you two casual ways to rock a cool and comfortable summer cardigan this season: A lightweight cardigan is your secret best friend for this season especially when the evenings get a little cooler. I also find myself reaching for my summer cardigan indoors when the A/C is blasting at full speed. I recently teamed up with my stylish friend Dasha from Windy City Wardrobe (love the cool name) to come up with two chic ways to incorporate a cardigan into your everyday summer wardrobe. We are both big fans of the versatile black & white trend. It’s a very fashionable modern day staple combination.I opted for a simple black & white look which is more on the classic style. The embellished black cardigan brings toughness to my sweet go-to little white dress of the season. Continue reading →
I love the simplicity of this outfit. These pants are my all time favorite. They are versatile enough to take me through seasons. They perfectly balance the fullness of my summery cropped blouse. I have a feeling these will be in high rotation this season. I am working on building my summer wardrobe with a few core pieces and these pants will surely be one of the frequently worn foundation items. (Inspiration: Ten Item wardrobe, though mine will be a few more than ten 🙂 ) Continue reading →
