Happy February! I am excited as Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. My outfits are already getting romance-inspired. I hope you have plans to spend it with the one you love. <3
Make your snow days happy and colorful!
I am so excited to match my outfit with the beautiful falling leaves. The bright colors and sunny weather are a perfect recipe for a happy day. I am someone who always gets inspired by nature.
Corduroy pants are a staple for fall. With the thick fabric and the comfortable skinny leg these pants are in heavy rotation in my closet. I am excited to wear them with my favorite trench coat on chillier evenings. Definitely a fall must-have for me!!
In the summer time, I love being outside riding my bike. Add a cute summer dress, some flats, sunglasses and I am ready for the season. My versatile ‘owl’ linen bag comes in handy to help me carry the yummy foods I can score at farmer’s markets.
I love prints. The funkier the better. This casette print skirt totally makes my day. I want to make it my uniform for this summer. It is so cute. It makes me want to dance all the time. Plus the flare on this skirt adds to it’s playfulness. I plan to spend this weekend with the husband by the lake and I have a feeling this skirt will put a musical spell on him. 🙂 Continue reading
Merry Christmas Eve! I am spending it with some of my favorite people in the world – my family. We are having a big brunch party and then packing up for a family vacation. So much fun so little time. I hope you are all tangled up in love this festive season.
For my look today, I am sporting two of my favorite trends of 2013 – midi and animal prints. This skirt is one of top picks in my wardrobe. It is great that it works well in all seasons. Yes my toes were freezing in this look but that problem is usually solved by adding a pair of tights (check out how I wore it in summer here). Also, got myself a new haircut for the upcoming new year. The short length always makes me want to keep smiling and dancing – which is more of what I plan to do in 2014. Continue reading
I love wearing bright colors in winter. With the snowy and chilly weather all around, the colors bring a cheer to my day. As many of you already know I have been struggling with a health crisis this year and sadly it takes up a lot of my time and energy. I recently discovered that my health is not improving and I need to change to a super severe treatment plan. Hence, the recent inconsistencies in blogging. But, I am so grateful for all the love and support I have and keep receiving. You are my rockstar! My inspiration!
Happy Snowy Monday! Stay warm! Kisses.
This beautiful patterned dress belonged to my mother. In her college days, she used to wear this as a part of ‘salwar suit‘ – a common outfit worn in south east Asia. Last year, I saw a picture of my mom wearing this and I fell in love with the Batik print and the bright color. This print is very prevalent with women in western India. Luckily, my mom remembered which remote corner of her extravagant closet this was hiding at. Turns out it used to be one of her favorites and a gift from her sister (my aunt) so she had kept it for sentimental value. Today with a few current accessories, I have an amazing outfit for myself. This dress makes me feel exceptionally beautiful as it is part of a legacy. There is always something special and happy-feeling about family inheritance.
I excitedly wore this recently at a family dinner party and kept everybody guessing why does it look familiar.
