Savvy Date Night

For our mid-week date, last night Mr. Husband and I went around the city enjoying the sights, weather and the company. It was a very cute night. We laughed a lot and ate cupcakes & popcorn. I decided to stay with the theme and took a different take on my date night outfit – Savvy – A cotton printed tee and a pencil skirt. Keep reading to find out how to get this entire look for just under $80!!!

You might even have this outfit in your closet already (like, way, way, deep in there) or just borrow your man’s tee as long as it’s fitted. Finish off the outfit with black heels, a simple clutch and a gold cuff and you’re ready for a date night out. I picked this tank as it is one of my favorites. It is soft and has a cute elephant print that reminds me of Bollywood.

Wearing black in summer months has always seemed…odd. Perhaps it’s due to the fashion industry harping on white being summer’s staple, or perhaps it’s nature’s colorful landscape that seemingly shudders at a lack of a palette. Regardless, it’s typically only found in my wardrobe during chilly months, and as I sat there pondering options for a date night I finally asked myself one simple question. Why not? Black is just as stunning in the warm-weather months as it is in the winter.
