Mixing textures

Mix x SP Mixing prints and textures is a versatile trick that creates an updated look for every season. This fall & winter season, layer up delicate fabrics like lace with a faux-leather blazer for a weather friendly and chic outfit. Mixing different textures makes a unified layered look which pulls the whole outfit together. Continue reading

Blush

Blush is big this season. I love the versatility of this shade. The soft hue makes a polished work-wear look. This beautiful rose quartz necklace is a fabulous find and is elegant enough to wear to work as well as be a part of your evening look.

Black and White

jumpsuit x SP 4 Happy Monday! Wasn’t the weekend too short as always?!! Thankfully some outfits work equally well from weekend to weekday. This dark light-weight jersey romper perfectly executes that attitude. The truth is I love this comfortable romper. Whether you’re tall, petite or curvy, it works well with all body types. I absolutely love the cuffs at the bottom, and even better I can think of a million different ways to wear it. It makes a great date outfit paired with heels plus a bold lipstick. Or add a structured jacket to make it work friendly. Summer-time does mean fun and light work-wear, right?!  I think the next way I wear it will be with a denim shirt tied around my waist and chunky boots. Continue reading

Winter Work Wear

In winter months, your coat is a major part of your outfit. I like to include colorful outerwear in my daily looks for wintery days as it adds pops of color to cheer up the bitter chilly weather. Red, white & blue is one of my favorite classic combinations. It is fail-proof and flattering on all skin tones.

Blazers

BLAZERS X SPHappy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Blazers are a closet must-have. This is what I call my “sneaky” polished look – when you add a structured blazer to any outfit, it suddenly looks so much more pulled together.  It looks like you put more effort into it than you really did. This summer be a trailblazer for color, and swap out your basic black jacket for a bold one. The three most common blazer styles – Cropped, Classic and Long help make a variety of effortless and versatile outfits. Continue reading

Cape

IMG_8132.JPGHappy Monday! This winter I have been living in my cape. I wear it on dresses and I wear it on pants. The best part is how chic capes look. To update your cape try putting a broach on and switching the regular buttons to metallic ones. I went for the gold and love how it instantly upgraded my cape. That’s my little chic trick for you.
