Happy Hump Day! In the last few weeks of summer, it is likely to get excited about the new and upcoming fall fashion that is already so prevalent in all the stores. But, when the temperatures are still soaring high it is hard to incorporate fall weather friendly items into your outfit. My solution is to add fall accents. This cotton tee with faux-leather details is soft and breezy enough for a warm afternoon. When paired with a skater skirt in a deep plum color, the outfit will make you look fall ready while keeping you comfortable in the final days of summer.
Pair the look with some neutral accessories and a statement necklace to match the high neckline and ready to conquer your day in style.
Summer is just around the corner. (Trust me!) While the weather is not particularly balmy yet transition your style by layering your spring outfits with comfortable and season-friendly scarves, sweatshirts and denim jackets. Continue reading →
In March, it is difficult to transition to a lighter wardrobe at such times. Don’t be disheartened. Give your winter coat a spring update by sporting a coat in a lighter pastel color. I love color blocking pastels paired with prints. This outfit looks spring but, still keeps me warm in the Chicagoland climate.Continue reading →
Happy sunny Monday! The weather has been so nice lately. I plan to spend most of this spring-like season in comfortable boyfriend jeans and relaxed chiffon tops. This flowy, romantic and soft sweater is perfect for spring-time. It mixes the tomboy appeal of a sweatshirt with the feminine feel of a blouse…two amazing looks! I also love that it’s lightweight enough to wear on warmer spring days and will be perfect with a light-leather jacket thrown on top if the weather gets a little bit cooler in the evenings.Continue reading →
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. A printed jersey dress is perfect for the family holiday this fall season. I anticipate it to be comfortable and cute when my mom insists I have an extra slice of that awesome pie. Here I am styling two looks that can work for a casual get together or a dressy dinner party. These looks can easily be worn day to night. I am excited to sport the casual look with the flared converted-skirt in the day. It will be a fun time watching the Thanksgiving parade with the family. And then quickly dress it up for the holiday dinner party in the evening. I hope these looks put a spring in your step in this chilly weather and get you excited for the holiday indulgence coming up next week.
Ever since I set eyes on this beautiful gold watch from Timex, I knew it will be my go-to ‘it’ accessory this holiday season. This watch adds just the right amount of bling to any outfit. I love the rich gold color and the attention to detail in the design. I was surprised to discover that it is not very heavy and sits comfortably on my wrist.
The winter is already setting in and while the snow is beautiful the cold creeping in so early might need a little cheering up for me. So my brilliant idea is to brighten up my winter wardrobe by incorporating bright colors into my outfit. And I love my midi skirts enough to keep wearing them all year long. Even in the winters. Just add a pair of tights to stay warm. Continue reading →
Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Blazers are a closet must-have. This is what I call my “sneaky” polished look – when you add a structured blazer to any outfit, it suddenly looks so much more pulled together. It looks like you put more effort into it than you really did. This summer be a trailblazer for color, and swap out your basic black jacket for a bold one. The three most common blazer styles – Cropped, Classic and Long help make a variety of effortless and versatile outfits. Continue reading →
A grey dress is a staple for every woman’s closet. And for a woman like me when you find a grey dress in stripes print, that’s just perfect. This grey dress was a recent find from Gap. It’s jersey material keeps it comfortable and versatile enough to be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I topped with a red coat to stay warm in the February midwest weather. I am excited to pair it with a denim jacket and some wedges for the upcoming spring season. Continue reading →
Towards the end of February, I get impatient to start wearing some of my bright spring clothes. But, if you are like me and live in the windy winters of Chicago you know you need a warm layer more often than you like. The solution is to make your outwear bright and colorful. I found this cute and super cozy coat in the sale section at Zara. Go raid your local Zara sale section today. It can add a quick pick me up to your Monday outfit. Continue reading →
